We know choosing the right school is an important decision, and we’re committed to making the admissions process straightforward, personal, and informative. Throughout the process, our admissions team is available to answer questions and guide your family every step of the way.
Step 1: Submit Your Application
Complete our online application to begin the admissions process.
The application provides us with important information about your student and family, including:
- Student information
- Parent/guardian contact information
- Current or previous school
- Grade level applying for
- Academic and educational background
Once your application has been submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation that it has been received.
Step 2: Application Review
Our admissions team will carefully review your application and any supporting information provided.
During this stage, we may contact you if additional information or documentation is needed before moving forward.
Applications are reviewed based on classroom availability and our ability to best serve each student.
Step 3: Family Interview
Families selected to continue in the admissions process will be invited to meet with our admissions team.
The interview gives us an opportunity to:
- Learn more about your student and family
- Discuss Heritage Christian Academy’s mission and expectations
- Answer your questions
- Ensure that HCA is the right fit for both your student and our school community
This meeting is designed to be conversational and gives both the school and the family an opportunity to get to know one another.
Step 4: Admission Decision & Enrollment Packet
Following the family interview, an admissions decision will be made.
Families will receive notification by email.
Students who are accepted will receive an enrollment packet containing everything needed to finalize enrollment, including:
- Student Information Form
- Medical Information Form
- Authorized Pickup Form
- Media Release
- Snack Permission
- Parent Handbook Acknowledgment
- Tuition Agreement
- Required document checklist
- Scholarship information (if applicable)
Required documents may include:
- Birth Certificate
- Immunization Records
- Physical Examination
- Custody documents (if applicable)
- Records Release Form (for transfer students)
To reserve your student’s place, all enrollment forms and required documents should be submitted by the deadline provided in your acceptance email.
Step 5: Official Enrollment
Once all enrollment requirements have been completed and reviewed, your student’s enrollment will be finalized.
You’ll receive a welcome email with important information about:
- Open House
- School calendar
- Parent communication platforms
- Parent Portal
- Back-to-school information
- First day of school expectations

Scholarships & Tuition Assistance
Many North Carolina families qualify for financial assistance through the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program, which can significantly reduce tuition costs.
We encourage eligible families to apply early. Our admissions team is happy to answer questions about tuition assistance and scholarship opportunities.
Admissions Timeline
Applications are accepted throughout the year as space permits.
Because class sizes are intentionally limited, some grade levels may fill before others. We encourage families to apply early for the best opportunity to secure placement.
