At Heritage Christian Academy, we believe every family should have the opportunity to provide their child with a high-quality, Christ-centered education. To support this mission, we offer several tuition assistance options and scholarships that help make private Christian education more affordable.
Many of our families receive financial assistance through the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program and other funding opportunities.

North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship
The North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship is a state-funded program that helps eligible families pay tuition at participating private schools like Heritage Christian Academy.
This program provides annual tuition assistance for qualifying students in kindergarten through 12th grade attending a participating non-public school.
Scholarship Benefits:
Families may receive several thousand dollars per student each year depending on household income and family size.
Benefits include:
- Tuition assistance for K–12 students
- Renewed each year through high school
- Available to many middle-income families
- Funds are paid directly toward tuition
This program has made it possible for many families to choose a Christian education they previously thought was out of reach.
ESA+ Scholarships
(For Students with Disabilities)
The Education Savings Account (ESA+) Program provides scholarships for students with qualifying disabilities to attend a private school that best meets their educational needs.
Families may use ESA+ funds for:
- Tuition
- Specialized instruction
- Educational therapies
- Curriculum or educational services

How to Apply
Applying for tuition assistance is simple.
Step 1
Apply for admission to Heritage Christian Academy.
Step 2
Apply for the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship through the state application portal.
Step 3
Submit any additional financial aid forms requested by our admissions office.
